Five ways Virb succeeded right out of the box.

But, dude... where's *your* Virb profile?
[this is good]
I ain't leaving Vox...but I'll give the Virb a go.
Really good review man! And thanks for linking to one of the profiles I did :)
I'm not trying to get people to leave Vox. I love Vox. Two totally different services, that I think will complement each other. Virb has promised to allow people to import their existing blog (or perhaps blogs), via RSS.

By linking Vox with Verb, my public posts will appear on Virb, but my private posts will stay between me and my pals on Vox..

Virb is FINALLY an addiction I don't need to be ashamed of (unlike Myspace).
:)
I'll check it out.
I like Vox, but it's a pain that they don't allow embeds from Veoh or Scrapblog for instance.
Man, I don't even know what Veoh is. I'll check it out. One thing I do know is that Vox is a personal blogging service. Vox does that better than anyone else, and I'm not about to stop using it.

The point of this post is that Virb > Myspace, not Virb > Vox. Were I writing a Virb / Vox equation, it would look something like this:

Virb + Vox = Awesome

Soon, when Virb allows you to import blog posts via RSS, that's exactly what we'll have.
I signed up tonight and am already in love with it. I've considered doing the who "I've moved to virb" thing on my myspace page however I'm not sure how many of my friends would actually make the move to convert over and go through the trouble of rebuilding their whole friends lists and such.

Sometimes I begin to wonder if I stretch myself too thin. I've got my Vox which I cross post to my LiveJournal with, then my myspace which helps me keep in contacts with my friends who I'm trying to get to move to Virb, then the people on my BME account who I had to tell about my move to just Myspace which now isn't true because I've got my blog over at Suicide Girls who is basically just a cross posted blog from my blogspot blog.... yeah. When does it end?
Wait. First, what's BME? Because I know of a BME that's a large private message board, and I'm wondering if they're the same.

But yeah, I feel that. I've been thinking of whittling myself down to Facebook, Virb, Vox, LJ, and that's it. No more Blogger or other crap. I really just need one blog, and I think Vox is it. I already import my Vox blog into Facebook and I x-post to LJ. Soon, Virb will let you import your blog. I'm just not going to try to write multiple blogs. It's a pain.
Veoh is a video site.
Bit like these guys in that it looks as though they have combed all the wish lists on all the sites, and come up with an extensive feature list.
